TANKS

CLEAN & POTABLE WATER

Storage tanks are available in many shapes:

  • Vertical and Horizontal cylindrical
  • Open top and Closed top
  • Flat / Cone / Slope / Dish bottom

Large tanks tend to be vertical cylindrical or to have rounded corners transition from vertical side wall to bottom profile to easier withstand hydraulic hydrostatically induced pressure of contained liquid.

Tanks can be constructed with different Material composition suiting different applications.

Zincalume (ZnAl) Water Storage Tanks

Zincalume Water Storage Tanks are manufactured from steel sheet which has been continuously coated with zinc and aluminium to produce the excellent corrosion resistance that is commonly experienced by tanks that are exposed to the harshest of atmospheric conditions.

Aluminum in the coating provides barrier protection to the steel while the zinc element provides sacrificial cut edge protection. It is this double protection mechanism which accounts for Zincalume Steel’s superior corrosion performance.

Zincalume steel has an alloy coating of 55p.c Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Silicon. The 150g/m2 (with choice of 200g/m2) coating weight is distributed equally on each surfaces of the coated strip. Metallic surface is coated with separate layers of special passivation resolution and resin.

Advantages of bolted steel Zincalume tanks

  • Eliminates the necessity for expensive labour, intensive site welding and at the same time dispenses with the need of elaborate and expensive re-enforced concrete base structures.
  • Removes the chance of fire and explosion throughout erection, a explicit advantage on sites that store flammable products and liquids notably within the Oil & Gas Sector.
  • Extensive labour is not required for erection and the time span requirement for erection and commissioning is drastically reduced.
  • Zincalume Bolted Cylindrical tank kits can be reduced to one tenth of their total volume allowing a 100m3 tank to be packed onto pallets making a 10m cubic capability load that vastly reduces shipping costs.
  • Immediate availability of Standard panels ensure speedy response to orders and delivery
  • Very economical for high volume storage and also reduced foot print area.
  • Capacities available from 20KL onwards

GLSP / Glass Fused Steel Tank

Glass Lining Tank - Assembled steel circular tank - offers long-term safe storage by combination of selection of optimal glass lining to match customers use condition/application, high-accuracy bolting/panel fitting.

The high temperature fusion of glass to steel at 850℃ results in an inert, durable finish.

Glass-Fused-to-Steel is the only tank finish where two materials are fused together to achieve the best of both materials - the strength and flexibility of steel combined with the corrosion resistance of glass.

Applied to both interior and exterior surfaces, Glass-Fused-to-Steel is able to withstand the rigours of the construction site and provide many years of trouble-free service in harsh environments. Glass lining steel panel has superior resistance to chemical. Also, it is good in anti-corrosive and anti-discolouring. It enables cost efficient storage.

Silica based enamel material is melted by high temperature and bonded to steel panel by chemical fusion in order to form synthetic glass/steel panel.

Also termed as "Glass Lining Steel Panel".

Applications

  • Potable water Storage
  • Sewage treatment
  • Effluent storage
  • Anerobic Digestion
  • Slurry storage system
  • Bulk solid storage

HDPE Spiral Tank
  • FRP tanks are manufactured mainly by filament winding processes.
  • FRP is one-fourth the density of steel, hence lighter in weight and thereby easy to handle and install
  • FRP has excellent anti-corrosion performance, being able to withstand kinds of atmospheric, water, acids, alkalis, salts, oils and solvents.
  • FRP is also a relatively good thermal as well as an electrical insulator. The dielectric properties of FRP means that it can be used safely where electrical conductivity cannot be tolerated.
  • FRP features a low density, which can often give a good strength to weight ratio, which is important in transportation and many structural applications.

Applications

  • Chemical Storage
  • Sewage treatment / Septic tanks
  • Effluent storage / ETP tanks
  • Agitation tanks
  • Food for solid storage
  • Bulk solid storage
  • Washing Tanks
  • Dyeing Industries
