FILTRATION SYSTEMS

FORMING A BARRIER USING WATER FILTRATION TREATMENT PROCESSES, PHYSICALLY SEPARATING SOLIDS FROM WATER

It removes particulate matter from water by forcing the water to pass through porous media. The filtration system consists of filters with varying sizes of pores, and is often made up of sand, gravel and charcoal. Water flows through a filter designed to remove particles from within it. Filtration collects the suspended impurities in water, enhancing the effectiveness of disinfection. These filters are routinely cleaned by backwashing.
